It's Not About the Weight

This is my NEW blog. This is where I will share my experiences with weight loss, nutrition, weight gain, pregnancy, and being a mom. Phew. That's a lot to cover. First of all, let me say that I am not a psychologist. I do not have a degree in nutrition, health science, or anything in that field. I won't pretend to. I am just a stay at home mom with an Associates Degree from a college close enough that I never had to move away from home. I am just normal. I do not have rippling muscles from head to toe. I have been through 2 pregnancies which means my body is heroic, but again I'm pretty normal. I'm thin. I have heard the term "skinny-fat"...that's probably what I am. I enjoy Zumba, and healthy food, but I also like me some ice cream...some cake...some anything-chocolate-and-peanut-butter-goodness...and treats. I want to share with you as I journey trying to eat healthier. Nothing Extreme! Just inviting good foods, and good products into my life and home---that's what I will share with you. I sell doTERRA essential oils, and so I will be using some of their products that promote a healthy lifestyle. I invite you to do the same. I hope to become a TERRAfit coach, but mostly I hope to inspire you to think about food differently, and to enjoy this life rather than worrying about what the scale says, but all the while being conscious of how to be healthy. Again, I am not a nutritionist, so I will share with you MY experiences, and MY thoughts, and opinons. They may not be for everyone, but they are what work for me. Of course, you will hear about my life, my family, and our goings-on because I'm normal. This is me, good ole' Sammy. I believe that health isn't about the weight. It isn't about that number on the floor staring at you, threatening to ruin your day...month...or year. It's about being HEALTHY. Being your best you. For you and your family. Here we go!
